Many pet owners with demanding schedules appreciate this option: various training programs in which your dog stays with a MarKay trainer in their home. Our "Doggie Camp" program is unparalleled -unlike a kennel, we only accept a few dogs for training at one time ensuring that your dog receives the attention he/she deserves. 

 During all board and train visits your dog will be taught to behave appropriately in a variety of settings: in the home, on the street, in the park, even in "social" situations (like a pet store visit.)  There is plenty of playtime with the other dogs at camp during which your dog will learn proper play etiquette and how to interact in a positive manner with other dogs.

BEGINNER PROGRAM:

Our beginner two week board and train program  includes one post-camp private lesson to review what has been learned, as well as group training for the life of your dog in one of our class locations. During this two week visit your dog will learn the basic commands of heel, sit, down, stay and come.  We will also work to correct behavioral problems such as barking, jumping, mouthing, chewing.

We believe the post-camp private lesson is essential to assure that your dog doesn't receive mixed messages (camp vs. home) and the lifetime of group lessons help to continue your dog's education. The entire family is welcome to participate in all phases of your dog's training. Consistency is the goal...and the hallmark of training that lasts!

ADVANCED PROGRAMS:

We also offer weekly board and train programs designed for the individual dog. These programs include training specifically for problem behaviors, as well as advanced obedience training and off leash work for those dogs who have already mastered their beginner basic commands.
